ABOUT

Namba Walk, stretching over 715m from east to west, lies with the Subway Midosuji Line Namba Station as the pivot and forms one extensive and straight shopping avenue, from the Subway Nippombashi Station on the east to the JR Namba Station on the west. The avenue, consisting of two aisles of the north street and the south street, is divided into three major zones. The five open spaces, such as "Whale Park", are areas for people to stay and enjoy, with symbolic monuments, and are used to host various seasonal events. The "Art Park" on 1st Avenue hosts the Chicago Gallery where people walking through the avenue can enjoy replicas, in the form of porcelain panel paintings, of the art works in the Art Institute of Chicago.
